Ryde House

Ryde House offers a home to adults who have severe learning disabilities, autism and problematic behaviour.

Our aim is to provide individualised care, recognising everyone as the individual. Our team believe that every person, no matter what disability they may have is able to develop.

We are passionate in supporting individuals to achieve in life, whether this be through getting meaningful employment, improving life skills or developing their methods of communication.

Our service users are fully involved within the community, accessing services such as the cinema, leisure centre facilities, local events, and the opportunity to have holidays away.

We are dedicated to achieving a positive, pro-active, calm and caring environment where individuals feel empowered to live life happily and achieve their own personal goals.

All service users are encouraged to make decisions for themselves and also have a chance to voice their own opinions which may well include how decisions are made at the home, and how the home is run.

Ryde House is a large manor type residence positioned close to the main centre of Ryde, Isle of Wight, but set in 24 acres of mature woodland. From the house there are walks down to our private beach, orchard, walled garden and three paddocks, one of which has a rare wild orchid collection.

Being an older type house (circa 1715) the bedrooms are generally of large proportion and all single.  There is a choice of dayroom accommodation, where television, or quiet areas can be accessed.
